Background Information

Biblical Foundation

Caleb, a character from the Old Testament, refused to be daunted by the size of obstacles in his way.

His faith in God was absolute.

The Caleb team are constantly being challenged by God - How much do you trust me? They believe in a big God who will accomplish big things. They intend to simply obey, trusting in Him to provide.

Deuteronomy 30: 8-14:
"The Lord will command blessing on you in your storehouses and all to which you set your hand. He will bless you in the land the Lord your God is giving you"

Deuteronomy 28: 8:
"The Lord will make you abound in all your work if you obey the voice of God. The command is not too mysterious, nor far off. The word is very near... in your mouth, in your heart... that you may do it!"

Numbers 32

Joshua 14: 9

Matthew 25 : 31-46
"For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was as stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me"

A warning we would all do well to heed. If we are too busy to show the love of God to those in need… then we are too busy for Jesus!
